Prof. Dietmar Harhoff, Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, INNO-tec - Institute for Innovation Research, Technology Management and Entrepreneurship
Innovation represents the most important source of growth in the industrialised world. The way in which innovation is brought about and successfully implemented is of increasing interest to scientists in general and students of business administration in particular. Researchers at INNO-tec aim for a better understanding of the processes involved in innovation and to discover ways of exerting an influence on the results of those processes.

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Poddig, University of Bremen, Chair of Finance
The main areas of research in this Chair are the use of modern quantitative methods (econometric systems, machine learning and artificial intelligence) in analysis, modelling and prognoses for financial markets. Authentic portfolio management scenarios are studied using simulations to test robustness and to develop methods further. A third area is concerned with selected aspects of bank management (for instance the registration, quantification and approach used in operational risk, measurement and analysis of banking efficiency and the success or otherwise of bank mergers).

Prof. Dr. Bernd Rudolph, Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, Institute for Capital Market Research and Finance
In its research and study efforts, the Institute for Capital Market Research and Finance considers questions of capital investment planning, business financing and the development of derivative markets. These areas are approached from the basis of the quantitative (formal) methods of modern capital market and finance theory and the statistical methods and techniques of financial econometrics.
