New Terminal Products basing on financial.com’s Market Data Platform NGP
After 5 years of successful market presence, the changing of the guard is approaching: a completely revised version of Thomson Reuters’ web-based information terminal for the wealth management sector, RWM (G/A/CH), will already be available at the end of this year. A first 25,000 customers in the core markets of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy will be given the opportunity to work with one of the most advanced desktop solutions for market information and analyses.
The new standard terminal, TRWM (G/A/CH) (Thomson Reuters Wealth Manager – Germany/ Austria/Switzerland) is built on financial.com’s market data platform NGP, using its modular frontend container, thus continuing to enable end users to choose between a Java-based applet and an AJAX module kit with HTML streaming components similar to the one iGoogle uses. The following further functions distinguish the terminal from its predecessor:
- numerous context-sensitive searchmasks and screeners,
- real-time presentation of all search results in an interactive risk/return map,
- a mobile solution for all browser-enabled terminals,
- miscellaneous processors, comparative and scenario calculators for different WP types focussing on the German-speaking derivative market,
- advanced alerting functions, also via email,
- a significantly improved control concept for the Excel link (Wizzard),which is not based on the Microsoft DDL console anymore and also controls data streaming,
- an admin console end users and administrators at the frontend can create and administer user classes, data rights and financial settlements with stock exchanges, etc.
From the beginning of 2011, an international picture service, Thomson Reuters’ StreetEvents, a calendar for corporate and economic event information, as well as a sophisticated bond and warrant calculator and a special ETF screener will be available.
Deriving from TRWM, various customer and market specific subsystems will be on offer from the end of 2010. The TRKD Monitor, for example, contains a fixed, defined data set (Knowledge Direct) designed for cost-optimized use in large-scale networks.
