Sybilla Hanssen has now been appointed as the new event manager for financial.com. In addition to the long-standing event series “Munich Finance Forum” (since 2005) and “D/A/CH Congress for Financial Information” (since 2011) financial.com will host bespoke events for financial institutions in the D/A/CH region. Sybilla takes over the management of a newly created business unit to host these events focussing on institutional investment, portfolio management, risk management, and compliance.

Wolfgang Kronberg has been appointed as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at financial.com. He joined financial.com in 2000 as a software engineer and became head of the backend services department in 2013. Before joining financial.com, he was assistant to the board of Allianz insurancy company in Prague. He studied at Hamburg University, at Lothar Collatz’s Institute of Applied Mathematics. His career as a software engineer started as early as 1983 with a Commodore 64.
As part of the Green Card Initiative by the German Federal Government in 2000, financial.com hired software developers from India. We are very proud that our colleague Anoop Kumar has now opened an office for us in India and will expand our development capabilities with a local team. You can find our office here.
Rolf Richter has left the Supervisory Board for personal reasons, effective at the end of 2014. He had supported the company as a member of the Supervisory Board since our establishment and has contributed significantly to our successful development. Franz Baur has now been appointed to the Supervisory Board. He has extensive experience in the field of financial technology and banks. Franz Baur had been Chief Technology Officer at HypoVereinsbank (Unicredit) and Cortal Consors (BNP Paribas). Werner Engelhardt was also elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

At today’s annual general meeting Dr. Dr. Ernst zur Linden resigned from the supervisory board of financial.com. At the age of 70 Ernst zur Linden wants more time for his family.
He has been a member of the supervisory board since 2000. Both the members of the supervisory board and the management team of financial.com are very grateful for his contributions to the development of financial.com.
His place is taken by Werner Engelhardt who has been a major investor in financial.com since 2001. Rolf Richter continues to lead the supervisory board as the chairperson. Eric Wasescha has been selected deputy chairman.
